Win a Pub in Wales Design Team
The ‘Win a Pub in Wales’ website has been the centre of much discussion: with national press taking great interest and visitors reaching 18,500 plus in less than five days.
The concept behind the website was to give people the opportunity to win a public house and accommodation by paying a £20 entry fee and answering four questions.

At first the idea to develop such a website was unheard of, it seemed to be an extreme method of selling a property, however, the idea suited our design team very well and we were excited to work with Steve Goymer, owner of The Plash Inn, on this project.
We like a challenge, we like originality, we like anything that requires imagination and a bit of creative flare to get going. After all we are designers and we like to be different, so this project soon began to generate a vast enthusiasm within our studio.
We took all creative control over the site development, from the photography to the logo design and the stylisation of the site itself.
The most complicated aspect of the project was the entry and payment sections where users could apply to enter the competition and answer the specific questions. As time went on it became clearer as to how this element had to be built and the end result has served the client very well.
It has been a very exciting project to undertake because it has given us the opportunity to break away from our usual design. In creating this website we have gained new insights which will open doors for us in the future.
