Predictions to the Rugby World Cup 2011 - Who Will Win?

As major Rugby fans we can't resist a prediction on the Rugby World Cup 2011 in new Zeland. We've just watched some of the Autumn Internationals 2010 and want to keep in the spirit of things, so here goes:

• Pool A: New Nealand | France | Tonga | Canada | Japan
  Qualifiers; New Zealand & France (in order)
• Pool B: Argentina | England | Scotland | Georgia | Romania / Uruguay
  Qualifiers; Argentina & England (in order)
• Pool C: Australia | Ireland | Italy | Russia | USA
  Qualifiers; Australia & Ireland (in order)
• Pool D: South Africa | Wales | Fiji | Samoa | Namibia
  Qualifiers; South Africa | Samoa
• QF1: Australia vs Samoa = Samoa
• QF2: Argentina vs France = France
• QF3: South Africa vs Ireland = South Africa
• QF4: New Zealand vs England = New Zealand
• SF1: Samoa vs France = France
• SF2: South Africa vs New Zealand (Surely the real final?) = New Zealand
• Final: France vs New Zealand
• Winner of the 2011 Rugby World Cup = France

Update: Oct 30th 2011 - New Zealand won it, I'm glad they did and I love the irony upon France in regard to their Semi Final score on Wales. I predicted a year ago France would win it by some act of french god, which is usually the case. By some act of french god they actually got to the final though the All Blacks prevailed. Either way, we wait another 4 years until next time.

Tesco's "How do I make.." Help Screen's

You'll walk into Tesco with a mild idea of what you want to dinner, but your not sure how to make it and what you need! So you go to the Tesco Help Screen (or "Tesco's How do I make?" screen) and search for what you want to make.
"Bread and Butter Pudding" Searching...
Up come the results telling you how to make it and what ingredients you need, which isle to find them on and how much they are!
Text the recipe to your phone or email it to yourself at home, you could be slightly un-environmentally friendly and press the Print button for a mini print out?
All in all a successful trip to Tesco results in a truly fantastic Bread and Butter pudding for dinner!

Touch Screen TV

TV's got flatter and wider, they'll soon get fully touch screen plus remotely controlled by a touch pad / or controller as additional control. Working similar to the iPad by Apple the ability to move through programs, adverts (See TV Adverts get deeply Interactive) and channels will become seamless. Even allowing our growing little ones to select their favourite cartoon by simply pressing a picture or icon on screen.
The additional technology that would come with such control is endless, but the basic concept of touch screen TV and control is destine.

TV Adverts get deeply Interactive

The adverts we watch on TV will become so advanced in interactivity that we will be able to obtain further details on the products / services offered and even buy or book using our remote. We'd be able to see advert credits such as actors, script writers and even who produced the music so we'll never have to ask "Who made the music for that new Vodafone advert?" Split or multi screen setup's will allow us to interact with such adverts while maintaining viewing of our current programme.

Silent Vacuum Cleaner as standard

James Dyson invented the famous Dyson vacuum, we predict the next stage will be the silent vacuum cleaner as standard in all vacuum's! No more snappy teens while Mum's vacuums around them in the middle of X-factor!

PC Hard Drive Space - 1T and Beyond!

We think that in years to come Hard Drive space will increase dramatically, just like it has since we had the 1.5mb 3.5inch floppy disks, to today's 1 Terabyte SATA hard drives.
Despite this, the files we save and use will equally increase, like higher resolution photos, High Definition video and Audio. In turn the % of free space we typically have today might be the same in years to come, just the amount of space available will increase.

Digital Camera's & Mega Pixels

We did have a premonition about digital camera's increasing their Mega Pixels nearly 2 fold in the next 6 to 10 years. But to really justify such a move, printer technology would have to increase so that it was worth while printing our images. PC monitors would have to increase in definition to show us the increased detail and memory card technology would have to be able to handle increased files sizes unless they manage to decrease file size without loosing quality.
So in the end we scrubbed this prediction because there were too many inner workings and it's way too late to be thinking that deeply about Mega Pixels!
