The New Queens Hall Brochure

The Queens Hall in Narberth is a long established music and community venue in the heart of Pembrokeshire. In its 50th year the hall has served the community for decades and shall continue to do so far into the future.
My personal accounts with the hall have spread from Christmas carol service when I was in Narberth primary school to the gigs I promoted there since 1999 up to today’s involvement as their Brochure Designer.

The Queens Hall asked me to present them with some new ideas for a quarterly brochure. Apart from the honour of having the opportunity to support a venue that had served me for many years it was quite an exciting project to begin thinking about.
After reviewing the current brochure design and finding ways to tackle some of the basic problems found The Queens Hall and I came up with a new dynamic design that suited the hall’s ambition to really move forward.

Perhaps the biggest hurdle was presenting the large amount of information required in an easy to read format that was consistent throughout the whole brochure.
Equally the basic information such as ticket price, box office number and opening times had to be visible at a quick glance.
You could say we revolutionised the Queens Hall brochure design which now allows them to expand and evolve their media as the hall does it’s self.

It’s been a very exciting project to be involved with and I’m very proud of the end result.
